U-M honors inventors at annual Celebrate Invention event

EVENT: The 17th annual Celebrate Invention highlights the 444 inventions reported by University of Michigan researchers in FY2017.

The event includes examples of U-M technology at work in kiosks where you can meet members of U-M’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem. They include:

  • Arcascope: Olivia Walch, who earned her Ph.D. in applied and interdisciplinary mathematics at U-M, displays her sleep science startup that’s developed a circadian rhythm app.
  • A 3-D printing motor error correction system developed by Chinedum Okwudire, U-M associate professor of mechanical engineering, that increases the speed and accuracy of 3-D printing.
  • PolicyMaker: Elisabeth Gerber, U-M professor of public policy, has created a platform that allow educators to easily create and implement simulation activities.
