U-M India Business Conference: ‘Inside the Transformation’

EVENT: Top executives from global firms will join students, faculty, public officials and the business community at the University of Michigan’s India Business Conference to share strategies, business opportunities and ideas.
This forum allows leaders from industry, politics and academia to discuss and debate how to view India’s increasing role on the world stage. This year’s theme, “Inside the Transformation,” will focus on the country’s economic, social, technological and political change from both domestic and international perspectives.
Keynote speakers include: Ravi Saligram, president and CEO of OfficeMax and a graduate of the Ross School of Business; Toos Daruvala, director of McKinsey & Co. and a graduate of the Ross School; Shivraj Singh Chouhan, chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, India; Diane Farrell, executive vice president of the U.S.-India Business Council; and Douglas Smith, senior vice president of business and community development for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and a graduate of the Ford School of Public Policy.
In addition, panels will dive into the topics of multiple dimensions of financial inclusion, strategies for a changing landscape, and setting up a business in India. The panels and keynotes are intended to answer questions and present opportunities.
