U-M Law School conference to offer perspectives on law, democracy
DATE: April 13 -14, 2007.
EVENT: A University of Michigan conference, “Law and Democracy in the Empire of Force,” looks at the various changes in law and democracy: in judicial opinions, the nature of law practice and law teaching, international relations and diplomacy, congressional deliberations, the way news is reported, representations of law and politics in popular culture, and the practice of philosophy. The conference, which is free and open to the public, brings speakers with distinct perspectives on the current state of law and democracy.
