ANN ARBOR—Members of the public are invited to visit the new Life Sciences Institute at the University of Michigan and tour some of the laboratories from 2-3:30 p.m. May 14.

The tours are part of a series of events to celebrate the grand opening of the institute.

The institute is just south of the corner of Washtenaw Avenue and Huron Street, across from the University’s Palmer Field. The public entrance is on the plaza level above Washtenaw Avenue and may be reached by the new pedestrian bridge at Zina Pitcher Drive, or by climbing a staircase up from the west sidewalk of Washtenaw, or by following a walkway that begins at the front steps of the U-M Exhibit Museums.
