U-M panel will discuss U.S. economic recovery

EVENT: “U.S. Macroeconomic Policy: Steps toward Recovery” is a free, public panel discussion featuring:
? Peter Borish, chairman and CEO of Computer Trading Corp., an actively managed hedge fund that focuses on macroeconomic investing.
? Charles Evans, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and member of the Federal Open Market Committee, the Fed’s monetary policymaking body.
? Matthew Shapiro, the Lawrence R. Klein Collegiate Professor of Economics at the University of Michigan and research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
? Allen Sinai, chief global economist, president and co-founder of Decision Economics Inc., a global economics and financial market information support and advisory firm.
The panel will be moderated by Susan Collins, the Joan and Sanford Weill Dean of Public Policy at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and professor of public policy and economics.
