U-M’s Ford School will host town hall debate for Ann Arbor mayoral candidates
EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT
DATE: 1:10-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014
EVENT: Ann Arbor Mayor John Hieftje and students from the University of Michigan Ford School of Public Policy present a town hall debate featuring the four Ann Arbor mayoral candidates.
Hieftje, who has been mayor for 14 years, announced last fall he would not seek re-election this term. His decision left the race wide open, with Ann Arbor city council members Sabra Briere, Sally Peterson, Stephen Kunselman and Christopher Taylor running for mayor.
The candidates will answer questions submitted by the public policy students and the audience. The event is free and open to the public.
