U-M School of Nursing breaks ground on new building with day-long celebration
DATE: 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. April 5, 2013
EVENT: The University of Michigan School of Nursing will celebrate the groundbreaking of a new academic building, along with the Dean’s Research Day Fair featuring a campuswide poster display and presentations.
The day’s theme is “Improving Family Health Through Practice-Changing Research.”
SCHEDULE:
10:30 a.m.: Groundbreaking ceremony near the current U-M School of Nursing building, 400 N. Ingalls St., Ann Arbor.
Noon-4:30 p.m. Luncheon and Dean’s Research Day Fair, North Campus Research Complex Building 18, 2800 Plymouth Rd., Ann Arbor. Free shuttles provided between main campus and NCRC.
1 p.m.: Brouse Endowed Lecture, featuring Janet Deatrick, professor of nursing and co-director of the Center for Health Equity Research at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
2 p.m.: Installation of the first Suzanne Bellinger Feetham Professorship, NCRC.
7 p.m.: “Nursing’s Got Talent” show, Michigan Theater, 603 E. Liberty Street, Ann Arbor.
