U-M seminars examine causes and prevention of violence

EVENT: A free, public seminar series on the causes and prevention of violence.

A response to the Newtown, Conn., shootings, the Boston Marathon bombings and other recent outbreaks of lethal violence, the series brings experts from around the nation and the world to Ann Arbor to explore the causes and prevention of violence from a variety of perspectives.

Speakers include clinical, developmental and evolutionary psychologists, as well as social psychologists and experts in genetics, public health, mass media and communication studies.
