U-M to host summit on electric, water utility resiliency

DATE: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 13, and 8 a.m.-noon Feb. 14, 2025.

EVENT: Stakeholders from across Michigan will gather to discuss the increasing resilience issues facing water and sewer utilities as communities deal with impacts of climate change. For instance, utilities are responding to increased flooding and power interruptions caused by severe weather events. Participants will share information, research and best practices, all with an eye toward regional cooperation that improves Southeast Michigan’s resilience.
