Event: “Tracking COVID-19 in Michigan: Variant Updates & Tools to Inform Decisions”

Join University of Michigan School of Public Health experts for a virtual discussion on current COVID-19 levels and trends in Michigan, the impact of the Delta variant spread and what to expect this fall.

The speakers will also provide a tutorial on how to use MI Safe Start Map, a public dashboard developed by U-M experts that visually illustrates up-to-date COVID-19 risk levels of Michigan regions and counties to help individuals, businesses, schools and community organizations make data-informed public health decisions as the pandemic evolves. The dashboard now features CDC transmission indicators to help K-12 schools follow CDC guidance.

The webinar features Emily Martin and Marisa Eisenberg, associate professors of epidemiology who have helped develop a series of tools to track COVID-19 spread and inform public health leaders in Michigan. Michael Rubyan, clinical assistant professor of health management and policy, will serve as moderator.

The U-M experts will answer questions submitted by attendees through event registration.
