ANN ARBOR—A University of Michigan student died Monday (Dec. 15) after falling from the Dennison Building on the Ann Arbor campus. At this time, the student’s name is being withheld per the family’s wishes.

“The University community is grieving the loss of one of our members,” said Maureen Hartford, vice president for student affairs. “Our sympathy goes out to his family and friends.

“For many students, faculty and staff this may be a stressful time of year. In recognition of that, the University offers services and programs through counseling, housing, health services and other departments,” said Hartford. “We hope that anyone who needs assistance will contact the University’s office of Counseling and Psychological Services or the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program.”
