Workshops to keep you up to speed on the job
ANN ARBOR—Jobs keep changing, and that means employees need to keep up with new skills to get ahead. One way to stay on top is by taking the Digital Tool Kit workshops offered by the University of Michigan School of Information. The 25 workshops, which run 2.5 days each from May through August, are designed for anyone who works in the information professions to learn new skills or improve those they already have. Webmasters, librarians, K-12 teachers, and public relations specialists all can benefit.
The Digital Tool Kit includes such workshops as “Mastering Basic HTML Skills,” “Contemporary Copyright Issues,” “Design and Deliver! A Guide to Successful Technology Training,” “Desktop Video Using Adobe Premiere,” “Designing for the Web: The Process,” and “Strategic Marketing for Information Professionals.”
Courses The School of Information offers master’s and doctoral programs. The Master of Science in Information can be earned with specializations in Archives and Records Management; Human-Computer Interaction; Library and Information Services; and Information Economics, Management and Policy.
