Writer to read in February
ANN ARBOR—Robert Boswell, professor at New Mexico State University and author of six books of fiction, will read at the University of Michigan’s visiting writers series at Rackham Amphitheater, at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 27.
Boswell’s works include “American Owned Love,” “Living to Be 100,” “Mystery Ride,” “The Geography of Desire,” “Dancing in the Movies,” and “Crooked Hearts.” His stories have appeared in such publications at the New Yorker, Best American Short Stories, O’Henry Prize Stories, Best Stories from the South, TriQuarterly, and the Georgia Review.
Boswell has received two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Iowa School of Letters Award for Fiction. His other honors and awards include the 1995 PEN West Award for Fiction, and the 1996 Evil Companions Award.
The visiting writers series is co-sponsored by the U-M Department of English and the U-M Office of the Provost, and features prominent writers and poets from within and without the University. The reading is free and open to the public.
